Two feared drowned one rescued from canal

Vadodara: Two persons were feared drowned while a man was rescued from a canal passing through Panchvati locality in Gorwa in the city on Sunday.The two persons feared drowned were identified as Golu Jatab and Dharam Mahavir Rajput while the one rescued was Deepak Shivnarayan. Sources said all three were labourers and had slipped into the water while washing their feet and hands on the banks of the canal.Fire brigade sources said Shivnarayan was rescued by locals, while the other two drowned in the gushing waters of the canal. Firemen searched for Jatab and Rajput till late Sunday evening, but they could not be found.Fire brigade officials said they will resume search on Monday morning.The two feared drowned were natives of Madhya Pradesh and lived in Sahyognagar in Gorwa. Shivnarayan is also from Madhya Pradesh.tnn A local contacted police control room and also the fire brigade.
