Over 800 duped of Rs 2cr by UPbased company

The agents lured the customers to invest in different schemes of the company promising them high returns. The investors were given receipts and passbooks for their investment schemes which instilled trust in them about the company. However, in April 2017 the company closed its branch offices without returning the money following which some investors created ruckus at its main office.The company then gave letters to them promising to return the money. But when the main office in Alkapuri also closed down, the investors approached police.tnn The victims told police that there were schemes for daily savings, monthly and yearly savings and fixed deposits.Police said that the agents held meetings and seminars at different locations in the city to lure investors.

Vadodara: Directors of Lucknow-based Real India Agro Producer Company and its subsidiary companies were booked for cheating 845 citizens and 15 agents of over Rs 2.3 crore.The FIR was registered against the chairman Pradeep Gupta and 10 directors at DCB police station on Friday night after the victims approached the police with their complaints.According to the complaint, the company opened its main office in Alkapuri in March 2014 and different branch offices at Makarpura, Parivar crossroads and Dabhoi Road. The agents lured the customers to invest in different schemes of the company promising them high returns.
