Four arrested for playing PUBG in Akota

Vadodara: J P Road police arrested four persons playing PUBG game on their mobile phones from Akota area on Friday. Gahlaut had put a ban on playing PUBG game in the city. This is the first arrest related to PUBG in the city.“We had received a tip-off that the accused used to play PUBG game for several hours everyday near a paan shop in Akota. They used to disturb the locals while playing the game,” said N H Brahmbhatt, police inspector, J P Road police station. All the four were released on bail from the police station.Gahlaut had said earlier that PUBG is a very violent game and it was affecting the mindset of youngsters who become very aggressive after playing these game.

All the four were nabbed for flouting the police notification issued by police commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut on Wednesday. Gahlaut had put a ban on playing PUBG game in the city. This is the first arrest related to PUBG in the city.“We had received a tip-off that the accused used to play PUBG game for several hours everyday near a paan shop in Akota. On Friday, the police went there and nabbed them red-handed,” Gahlaut told TOI. The police took all the four accused identified as 30-year-old Ankur Patel, a resident of Jetalpur Road, Kirtan Gandhi (20), a resident of Atladara, Siddharth Gandhi (20), a resident of Padra and Donil Patel (24), a resident of Manjalpur, to the police station.“Two of the accused are traders, one of them is a vegetable vendor. They used to disturb the locals while playing the game,” said N H Brahmbhatt, police inspector, J P Road police station. All the four were released on bail from the police station.Gahlaut had said earlier that PUBG is a very violent game and it was affecting the mindset of youngsters who become very aggressive after playing these game.
