Four Booked With Fake Currency in Vadodara

On Thursday, Four people were arrested with fake money worth Rs 22 lakh in Vadodara. The culprits were booked by the local crime branch and later handed over to Vadodara police.

The accused had conned a man in Rajpipla by promising to double his money by ‘Tantric Rituals’.

Cops had received information about the fraud plot, they reached the spot and investigated. police found wads of notes of Rs 2,000, Rs 500 and Rs 100 value, around Rs 22 lakh which was fake. They also found Rs. 2.6 Lakhs of real currency in the car of the accused.

During the inquiry, the men surrendered and confessed to fraud people by promising them to double their money through tantric practices. They had conned the man in Rajpipla on Wednesday, who upon realising about the scheme had filed a report at the Rajpipla Police station.

The Four accused men have been identified as Shivu Makwana, Rajesh Makwana, Ibrahim Makwana and Vijaysinh Mahida from Ankhi bus stand near Por.
