With 1,857 persons being vaccinated against a target of 1,800 vaccinations, Covid-19 vaccination drive in the city showed good response. Drive was held in 18 session sites in the city including 13 private healthcare facilities and five public facilities including a municipal school.

Each of the 18 vaccination sites had set a target of 100 vaccinations each as per the guidelines. As many as 13 session sites exceeded their target while three fell significantly short.

The facilities that fell short of their target included the GMERS Hospital at Gotri that has been designated as a Covid-19 hospital. At GMERS Hospital, 70 persons took the jabs, while 69 were vaccinated at the private Nupur Nursing Academy. Merely 54 persons were vaccinated at the Rishi Vishwamitri School in Ramdevnagar where a vaccination site was set up.

Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) used to earlier conduct the vaccination drive at six-session sites in the city. However, this was tripled after directives from the state government.
