Vadodara: A student of city-based Navrachana University committed suicide by hanging himself at his home on Friday due to financial problems.Shail Shah, a second year student of bachelor of business administration (BBA), has blamed his four friends for the extreme step. However, the police have not revealed the details of Shah's friends.Police said that Shah, a resident of Ashutosh Society at Vasna Road, hanged himself in his room with a dupatta. His body was found by his family members along with a suicide note which he had addressed to his parents.A police official said that Shah had blamed four of his friends, who used torture him for taking the extreme step. Cops said that the four friends were not studying with him and Shah had met them somewhere else.Shah also mentioned in his note that the four friends should be punished for this, the police said. Police believe that Shah had borrowed money from several people but it was not known where he had spent the money."We are not ruling out any reason for borrowing money. It could be for purpose of betting on IPL cricket matches but it is difficult to confirm at this stage," the police official said.Sources in the police department said that the cops have picked up two of Shah's four friends, whom he has named in the suicide note, for questioning.Once concrete information and evidences are gathered, the police will make arrests.
