State’s first national rally championship on Apr 29

"This will be Gujarat's first every national rally championship," said Amit Waghchoure, clerk of course (COC) of the rally. The organizers said that it will be the first ever two-wheeler national championship to be held in the state. Vadodara: Over 40 riders will participate in the first round of two-day MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Rally Championship that will be held in the city from Saturday. The organizers were keen to introduce the national two-wheeler rally in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The first four rounds of the championship will be held in western parts of the country, the fifth and sixth round will be held in southern states in July and September.

Vadodara: Over 40 riders will participate in the first round of two-day MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Rally Championship that will be held in the city from Saturday. A separate Ladies Class has also been introduced in this year's championship and four women are participating in it. The organizers were keen to introduce the national two-wheeler rally in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh."We have always endeavoured to provide a safe environment for racing and set a high benchmark in this respect. We decided to provide a structure and organization to rally which is fast gaining popularity, especially among the youth," Waghchoure said.The rally will begin at 7 am from a hotel at Golden Chowkdi and end at the same spot. While the competitive category will cover 50 kilometres the others will ride for 150 kilometres. The first four rounds of the championship will be held in western parts of the country, the fifth and sixth round will be held in southern states in July and September.
