Two cars catch fire on New VIP Road

Vadodara: Two cars at Siddharth Complex on New VIP Road suddenly caught fire early in the morning here on Monday. The residents of the complex suddenly woke up to a loud sound of a blast. Luckily, no other vehicle was parked near the two cars. Before the fire fighters could douse the fire, the two cars were completely gutted.Fire department said Parth Pandya, owner of one of the cars, returned from Ahmedabad early in the morning and parked his car beside the car of Mukesh Shah. When they came to the parking lot, both the cars were on fire.

A resident of the complex said that due to the fire, the tyre of the car had burst that woke them up.Residents informed police control room, which informed the fire department about the incident. But, by the time the fire fighters reached there and doused the fire, both the cars were completely gutted.A Fire Brigade official said Pandya's car which ran on CNG must have sparked the fire after which Shah's car got engulfed in the blaze. Luckily, no other vehicle was parked near the two cars.
