Man stabbed by brother succumbs

Vadodara: A casual labourer from Bharuch, who was stabbed by his brother with scissors on June 22, succumbed to injuries at SSG Hospital on Monday night. The accused had also stabbed his father, who had died on the spot.Rakesh Mistry was stabbed thrice by his brother Mukesh when he tried to intervene in a fight between the latter and their father Jayanti. Police said that Jayanti and Mukesh had heated arguments on June 22 as the latter over fight with somebody in the village.Angered by his father's scolding, Mukesh, who worked as a ladies tailor, stabbed his father five times with scissors and when Rakesh tried to intervene, he stabbed him too. However, on Monday night he succumbed to his injuries.Cops said that Mukesh, who often used to get into brawls in village, has been missing since the incident and they are trying to find him. "Jayanti had died on the spot due to severe loss of blood but Rakesh was admitted to Bharuch Civil Hospital after which he was referred to SSG Hospital in Vadodara as his case had got complicated," said B G Vala, police sub-inspector, Bharuch B Division police station.Doctors at SSG Hospital said that when Rakesh was brought on June 23, he had lost lot of blood but after conducting a sonography he was given treatment.
