Five bikes ‘mysteriously’ catch fire outside garage in Tandalja

The locals told Ghanchi that the bikes caught fire due to short-circuit outside the garage.However, Ghanchi said there are no wires or switchboard outside the garage. Vadodara: Five motorcycles were mysteriously charred outside a garage in Tandalja early on Saturday morning.The owner of the garage Jahid Ghanchi was informed around 8 am by the locals about the fire. "I got a call when the bikes caught fire, but by the time I reached there the bikes were completely charred," said Ghanchi. The bikes which caught fire belonged to his customers.In another incident, a car caught fire near loco shed of railways at Navayard. Sources in the fire department said that the car caught fire due to short-circuit in its battery.

The locals told Ghanchi that the bikes caught fire due to short-circuit outside the garage.However, Ghanchi said there are no wires or switchboard outside the garage. The fire fighters reached the spot and doused the fire. They could not ascertain the reason behind the fire nonetheless they asked Ghanchi to get the wiring checked at his garage.Ghanchi, who runs the garage there since past three years, said, "I never park the bikes outside except there is dearth of space inside the garage premises. Yesterday, there were many bikes so I parked them outside." He said that someone must have done a mischief which led to fire. The bikes which caught fire belonged to his customers.In another incident, a car caught fire near loco shed of railways at Navayard. Sources in the fire department said that the car caught fire due to short-circuit in its battery. Fortunately no passenger of the car received injuries due to fire.
