'Nakal mafia' gang members caught in UP's Mirzapur district

VARANASI: The STF caught three members of ‘nakal mafia’ including a principal and two teachers in the role of solvers red handed in Mirzapur district during the UP Board examination on Saturday. 11,240 in cash.During interrogation they disclosed that they were engaged to solve papers by Pradeep Kumar Singh, who is the principal and centre manager of Babu Ghanshyam Intermediate College. Coverless answer sheets , photo copy of question paper, guide book and other supporting articles were recovered from them. 25,000 to 30,000 from each candidate for solving the paper, and give Rs. The STF seized five answer sheets without cover, two photo copies of question paper, a piece of solved paper, a social science guide book, a computer, three mobile pones and Rs.

VARANASI: The STF caught three members of ‘nakal mafia’ including a principal and two teachers in the role of solvers red handed in Mirzapur district during the UP Board examination on Saturday. Coverless answer sheets , photo copy of question paper, guide book and other supporting articles were recovered from them. They were booked under section 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant) of IPC and sections 4/5/7/8/10 of UP Public Examinations (prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 1998.According to reports, acting on a tip off the Varanasi unit of STF led by Amit Kumar Srivastava along with the local police raided Babu Ghanshyam ITI College, situated adjacent to an examination centre at Babu Ghanshyam Intermediate College, Sihawal in Jigna police station area of Mirzapur district when the high school examination of social science was in progress. The STF personnel caught two solvers Lallan Prasad, a teacher of Samrat Ashok Inter College, Murajpur in Jigna area, and Jitendra Singh, a teacher of Babu Ghanshyam Intermediate College, Sihawal.As the examination centre was equipped with CCTV cameras, the copying was being done in the ITI College in the neighbourhood. The STF seized five answer sheets without cover, two photo copies of question paper, a piece of solved paper, a social science guide book, a computer, three mobile pones and Rs. 11,240 in cash.During interrogation they disclosed that they were engaged to solve papers by Pradeep Kumar Singh, who is the principal and centre manager of Babu Ghanshyam Intermediate College. Pradeep is the kingpin of copying gang. They confided that he used to collect Rs. 25,000 to 30,000 from each candidate for solving the paper, and give Rs. 5000 to a solver.
