VARANASI: UP minister and president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) Om Prakash Rajbhar not only termed the CM Yogi Adityanath as a weak CM by saying that even low level officials do not follow his orders, but also indirectly mocked at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AICC president Rahul Gandhi saying in election times leaders come with such promises of making cities like Kyoto, California and Singapore.Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Rajbhar said that there are lots of laws, but these are not enforced in the state. "Today, the constables, sub-inspectors, officers are working on their own will, and not following the orders of the CM,” he said wondering how law and order will be in place in such a situation. "The same officials including IAS, IPS become active on the directives of the Election Commission, but give no ear to the CM," he said adding that the CM himself admitted that corruption exists at police station and tehsil levels. "Like SP and BSP governments the CM is also acting under the influence of a caucus of 5-6 IAS officers at the 'pancham tal," he alleged. On Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks of developing his constituency like California, Rajbhar also took a dig on him and PM Modi. "Whenever elections start approaching near someone wants to make Kyoto like city, some others want to develop cities like California and Singapore. Some others get ready to make temple and mosque. These are only poll gimmicks," he said.He also accused the UP government of deceiving backward class students in providing scholarship and fee reimbursement. "I have raised the issue repeatedly that the government is deceiving the students of backward class. On April 16 an online portal was opened for scholarship and fee reimbursement of SC/ST and general class students only," he said adding that there are about 24 lakh students of SC/ST, general and minority classes, while backward class has 26 lakh students out of whom only 14 lakh have been benefitted with the scholarship and fee reimbursement. "Besides, these are big disparities in providing scholarship and fee reimbursement," he alleged adding that the general and SC students get Rs. 50,000 while backward students of the same class get petty amounts like Rs. 3000 to Rs. 6000 only.Regarding his meeting with BJP president Amit Shah, he said that he put his concerns before Shah demanding immediate measure in this regard. "I suggested categorization in 27% OBC quota into three categories –'pichhada', 'ati pichhada' and 'sarvadhik pichhada' to satisfy them. The BJP president assured me that my demand will be addressed six months before the elections," he said adding that he also demanded the beginning of recruitment process in government jobs only after the division of OBC quota. On Unnao rape , Rajbhar said that the incident earned bad name to the government, though prompt actions like constitution of SIT and handing over the case to CBI were taken. When asked about his views on the ouster of the rape accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar from the party, he said that it is BJP’s internal matter. Had any MLA of SBSP made accused in such case, he would have been ousted immediately, said Rajbhar adding, "I am sure that the BJP will oust Sengar shortly".
