After the decision, local administration was asked to facilitate an easy passage to the airport. VARANASI: UP Jal Nigam (UPJN) junior engineer S K Gupta, who had suffered grave injuries in attack by youths in Lanka area on Tuesday late night, was shifted from BHU Trauma Centre to AIIMS in New Delhi by air-ambulance on Thursday.The district administration and police arranged a green corridor between BHU and LBS International Airport for the ambulance carrying Gupta and a team of doctors.District magistrate Yogeshwar Ram Mishra said, "The state government directed UPJN to arrange best possible treatment for Gupta. "Acting on the directive of DM and SSP R K Bhardwaj, SP (traffic) S C Rawat created a green corridor around 2.30 pm and Gupta was taken to airport in an ambulance.Gupta and two contractors of UPJN had suffered serious injuries when a group of inmates of a private hostel attacked them near Lanka crossing after midnight on Tuesday.
