Denied fake papers, woman assaults doctor, guard at BHU hospital

Posing herself as a lawyer she started pressurizing Sahu to issue a fake medical certificate to her. Varanasi: Creating high drama at SSL hospital of Banaras Hindu University , a woman thrashed Dr Anurag Sahu of neuro department for refusing to give fake medical certificate to her, late on Tuesday afternoon. She also bit hands of the university security personnel when they tried to save the doctor.BHU chief proctor gave a complaint for lodging FIR against the woman. On seeing it, the security personnel of the university proctorial board ran to save Sahu. On reaching near a bank building on the hospital campus she started slapping Sahu.

She also bit hands of the university security personnel when they tried to save the doctor.BHU chief proctor gave a complaint for lodging FIR against the woman. Lanka police said that the university officials have been asked to provide CCTV footage of incident for investigation before lodging any FIR in this case.BHU chief proctor Royana Singh said, "Sahu was attending patients in the neuro departments OPD of SSL hospital when a woman, identified as Priti of Nagwa area, reached there. Posing herself as a lawyer she started pressurizing Sahu to issue a fake medical certificate to her. Making it clear that such certificates can be issued only by an authorised medical officer Sahu refused to give certificate to her." Annoyed over Sahu's denial, the woman followed the doctor up to some distance after he left OPD. On reaching near a bank building on the hospital campus she started slapping Sahu. On seeing it, the security personnel of the university proctorial board ran to save Sahu. The woman also attacked them and bit their hands. Royana said that all these activities were recorded through the CCTV network.
