NER gets its only training institute in Ghazipur district

VARANASI: Union minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Zonal Rail Training Institute (ZRTI) of the North Eastern Railways (NER) and washing line in Ghazipur district on Sunday. It will be the only training institute of NER. Until Muzaffarpur was separated from NER, it had its ZRTI there. Addressing a function organised to mark the occasion at newly constructed institute, Sinha said: "The foundation of this institute was laid on May 4, 2015 and the project has been completed in scheduled time.A budget of Rs 21crore was sanctioned for the project. Railway employees, here, will be trained to provide safe and secure services to passengers."

For advanced training programmes, he added, the institute has been equipped with modern classrooms, computer labs, cafeteria and hostels.Regarding newly constructed washing line of Rs 19.62 crore, Sinha said that the 400 mt washing line will cater the needs of cleaning and maintenance of railway racks with 1500 my stabling line.
