Togadia dares government to deport Bangladeshis

VARANASI: Firebrand Hiunditva leader and former Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Pravin Togadia indirectly dared the Central government saying if it has guts, it should set an example by deporting 40 lakh Bangladeshi detected after compilation of NRC." "They (Bangladeshis) are illegally living in cities like Lucknow, Kashi and Kolkata. "We had taken a pledge that no temple described in Kashi khand would be allowed to be demolished. I just want to know why these people were not sent to Bangladesh in these years," he said.

Forty lakh Bangladeshi ko bhejoge tab kahenge ki aap veer ho, nahi to sirf baatein karten ho (I will accept your bravery if you send 40 lakh Bangladeshis, otherwise it is only your tall talks)," said Togadia, who was here on Wednesday to offer prayer at Kashi Vishwanath Temple (KVT).In a brief chat with reporters, he said around three crore Bangladeshis were living in the country. "They (Bangladeshis) are illegally living in cities like Lucknow, Kashi and Kolkata. I just want to know why these people were not sent to Bangladesh in these years," he said."Only making list is not enough... the result would come only after sending them to Bangladesh. Out of 40 lakh, even 1,000 Bangladeshis have not been sent to their country so far. It is only a show off exercise," he added.After coming out of KVT, Togadia said that he has begun a nationwide campaign to press the Central government to enact a law for the liberation of KVT premises from Gyanvapi mosque."We had taken a pledge that no temple described in Kashi khand would be allowed to be demolished. We will also ensure the opening of the restricted site of Shringar Gauri for people to offer prayer," he said.To a query on Deoria shelter home scandal, he said that he had concern about the safety and security of women in the entire country.
