Actors Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain , who were in Varanasi for the promotion of their film ' Loveratri ', had a perfect start to their two-day visit. Both the actors, on reaching the city on Sunday afternoon, headed straight for the Ganga aarti at Dashshwamedha Ghat on a boat. Boarding the boat from Rajghat and cruising up to Dashshwamedha ghat, the actors couldn’t stop gushing over the experience. Aayush, who was on his maiden trip to the city, said, "I was really looking forward to the aarti on the ghat as I had heard so much about it. In fact, my mother really wanted to see this from a long time and I had kept on telling her that one day we will go, but now she is really angry with me for not bringing her along. The kind of experience I had, I must say, I’ve never had before."The actors witnessed the Ganga aarti from the boat at Dashashwamedha ghat (BCCL/ Arvind Kumar)Aayush added, "The view of the ghats from the boat was just too beautiful. I want to come back along with my family during Dev Deepawali, when the ghats are beautifully lit with diyas as the locals told me. What I also liked about Banaras is that there is so much to savour. I got the chance to eat the famous Banarasi paan which I loved so much that I got several of them delivered to me at the hotel where I was putting up."Aayush and Warina got to taste the famous Banarasi paan (BCCL/ Arvind Kumar)While for Warina, it was a second time in Varanasi. "I had visited Banaras several months ago as a friend of mine got married here. She took me to Assi Ghat and to other parts of the city. During my two-day stay, I had binged on the street food, had some amazing chaat and also visited a book store, since I am really fond of reading. This time attending the Ganga aarti really added to my experience. I felt so much of serenity and really wanted to meditate on the ghats. While everyone was busy taking pictures, I just wanted to soak in the experience, which was really amazing," she says.Aayush and Warina enjoying the Ganga aarti (BCCL/ Arvind Kumar)The second day of their stay in the city gave the actors a taste of the youthful energy of collegians when they visited a private engineering college on Monday.
