VARANASI: Rohania police on Sunday caught at least 20 persons red handed while solving question papers of UPSSC’s youth welfare officer recruitment (preliminary) examination before the commencement of morning shift paper at Apex International School premises in city outskirts.The STF and crime branch cops were interrogating the arrested persons at Rohania police station. Despite these arrests the examination was conducted at 29 centers of the district.For 24950 aspirants of UPSSC’s youth welfare officer recruitment examination 29 centers had been established in the district, where examination was scheduled in two shifts from 10 am-12 noon and 3 pm to 5 pm.Few minutes before the commencement of first shift examination somebody alerted police through dial 100 after which inspector Rohania Sriprakash Gupta raided Apex International Scool, which is not in the list of 29 examination centers. On seeing police four persons fled the scene while the cops caught 20 including 19 aspirants and one guardian of an aspirant. They were preparing chit of correct answer’s options by mentioning the question numbers before it.They all were taken to Rohania police station where ASP crime branch Gyanendra Nath Prasad , inspector STF Vipin Rai and other officials reached and started interrogating them. The ADM City Vinay Kumar Singh said that as no question of examination had been found in electronic or manual form from the possession of arrested persons it could not be established that the paper of examination had leaked.
