UP: FIR lodged against BJP MLA Surendra Singh for attack on youth

Ballia SP Sriparna Gongulee confirmed lodging of the FIR against the BJP MLA mentioning, an "impartial probe" is being ensured in this case. One Punkali Upadhyaya alleged that she, along with her son, was going to market to buy clothes when the BJP MLA reached there along with goons. The BJP MLA was confident that police investigation will clear that he had no role in this incident.On Saturday evening, two groups clashed near the community health center in Bairia market over an old property dispute. The BJP MLA went inside Daak Banglow while his companion attacked her son and tried to kill him, she alleged, adding, firing by assailants led to panic in the market that was closed. Some locals rushed Prashant to a local hospital, where on noticing his critical condition, doctors referred him to the BHU trauma center.

VARANASI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bairia Surendra Singh , his brother and son along with 14 other persons have been made accused for "conspiring a murderous attack" on a youth, Prashant Upadhyaya, in a group clash that occurred in UP 's Ballia district on Saturday evening.The mother of Prashant - who is being treated at the trauma center of Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi - lodged the FIR against 17 persons, including BJP MLA with Bairia police while her rivals also lodged FIR against 14 persons.
