FIR lodged against Gyanpur MLA for threatening ADJ

Varanasi: Bhadohi’s Suriyava police has lodged an FIR against Gyanpur MLA Vijay Mishra for allegedly threatening an additional district judge of Bihar.“Acting on a complaint moved by ADJ Tribhuvan Nath Pathak, who is a native of Matethu village under Suriyava police station and posted at Shivhar district in Bihar, an FIR under section 506 of IPC was lodged by Suriyava police on Tuesday,” SP Bhadohi Rajesh S told TOI on Wednesday.The SP said that the ADJ had some land dispute with his neighbour in Matethu village. He had won assembly polls thrice on Samajwadi Party ticket.

Varanasi: Bhadohi’s Suriyava police has lodged an FIR against Gyanpur MLA Vijay Mishra for allegedly threatening an additional district judge of Bihar.“Acting on a complaint moved by ADJ Tribhuvan Nath Pathak, who is a native of Matethu village under Suriyava police station and posted at Shivhar district in Bihar, an FIR under section 506 of IPC was lodged by Suriyava police on Tuesday,” SP Bhadohi Rajesh S told TOI on Wednesday.The SP said that the ADJ had some land dispute with his neighbour in Matethu village. This dispute had been solved by a magistrate and police. “However, Pathak’s opponent contacted Gyanpur MLA Vijay Mishra. In his complaint Pathak has alleged that amidst a gathering of over 100 people in a marriage function recently, Mishra threatened to implicate him in a false rape case,” said the SP.“An investigation has been launched into the matter,” he added.When reporters contacted Mishra, he claimed that Pathak is his close relative and he has good relations with him. He denied to have issued any threat, but alleged that Pathak is trying to grab a piece of land in Matethu village. He didn’t elaborate.Mishra claimed after the FIR, he had written a letter to Chief Justice of India, chief justices of Patna and Allahabad high courts, Prime Minister, chief minister and other authorities to ensure an impartial probe into the matter.A muscleman politician, Mishra have a long criminal history. He had won assembly polls thrice on Samajwadi Party ticket. He won Gyanpur seat for fourth consecutive time as Nishad Party candidate.
