Two electrocuted during idol immersion procession in Ballia

They had tied loudspeakers with the help of steel rods to play music during the procession. Following a sharp deterioration in the condition of Rajnish the doctors referred him to Trauma Centre of BHU. While heading towards banks of the Ganga, the steel rods came in contact with high tension wire.While Mayank Singh (18) and Chhotu Kumar Singh (20) died on the spot, other youths including Chandan Singh (18), Krishna (17), Golu Singh (18), Anand Singh (22) and Rajnish Singh (20) suffered serious burn injuries. All the equipment and articles on the tractor were gutted.The Bairiya police and locals rushed the injured to a local hospital from where they were referred to district hospital.
