‘Ready to send elder son to border, but avenge martyrdom’

Varanasi: “I am ready to send my elder son also to protect borders, but first avenge martyrdom of Ramesh,” said Shyam Narain, father of Ramesh Yadav, the CRPF jawan who sacrificed life in Thursday’s Pulwama terror attack.He had even mortgaged his land to educate Ramesh. “Apart from prescribed financial and other assistance for the family of martyrs the government will also discuss requirements of this family and try to fulfill them”, assured Rajbhar. Amidst cries and slogans being raised against terrorists at his Tofapur village in Chaubeypur area, Shyam Narain was finding it difficult to stop his tears.He said, his elder son Rajesh is a milkman but the entire family wanted to educate Ramesh so that he gets a government job. Ramesh’s mother said that before leaving on February 12 to Ramesh had promised that on returning in next vacation he will ensure proper treatment of son.UP minister Anil Rajbhar also reached Tofapur to console the martyr’s family and said that chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to take proper care of martyr’s family. Before getting recruited in CRPF three years ago Ramesh was married to Renu and has a one and half-year-old son who has some problem in a leg.Renu fell unconscious as soon as the news reached her, and whenever she gained conscious she just managed to say, “Before leaving home he (Ramesh) had asked me to take care of son, parents and home as he was going to protect the country.”Relatives and villagers found it hard to console Renu while her little son cried looking at everybody.
