Youth held for raising pro-Pakistan slogans

Gorakhpur: A 26-year-old man was thrashed by some locals when he raised pro-Pakistan slogans during a march against Pulwama attack in Basti on Saturday.The youth, identified as Mohammad Khalid, was later arrested and booked under Section 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony), Section 153B (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration) and Section 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief) of IPC, said SHO, Kotwali, MP Chaturvedi.The incident took place during a protest march by girl students and teachers of Begam Khair Inter College.
