PM Modi to gift Rs 90 crore development project in Seer Govardhanpur today

VARANASI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sant Ravidas temple in the city on Tuesday and gift a project worth Rs 90.60 crore for the saint’s birthplace Seer Govardhanpur.PM Modi will take part in Ravidas Jayanti celebrations and inaugurate 39 projects besides laying the foundation of eight projects worth Rs 3,382.07 crore for the city. He will also inaugurate the upgraded dairy food project at Ramnagar Industrial estate. His visit was followed by repeated rounds of UP ministers and officials to discuss plans for development of the saint’s birthplace Seer Gowardhanpur village and a project for developing the area was finalised after discussion with Sant Ravidas Janmasthal Charitable Trust. A rehearsal of the arrival of PM’s fleet was conducted by police under the supervision of SPG.

The project having a capacity of four lakh litre per day will boost the earnings of over 45,000 milkmen of Kashi and surrounding districts.As per the final itinerary received by district administration, PM Modi will reach LBS International airport at around 9am and will leave for DLW to flag-off a loco converted from diesel to electric engine. He will then proceed to Ravidas temple and Banaras Hindu University’s Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Institute, where he will interact with beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme. He will also address a public meeting at Audhey before leaving.District magistrate Surendra Singh said that all preparations for PM’s visit have been completed. The PM will inaugurate most projects remotely at the public meeting in Audhey village, he said.The physically challenged will be given tricycles and other gear while certificates will be distributed to beneficiaries of different government schemes, he added. A rehearsal of the arrival of PM’s fleet was conducted by police under the supervision of SPG. SSP Anand Kulkarni said that police and paramilitary forces personnel from over a dozen districts have been briefed and their deployment had started.Traffic diversions on highways and internal roads will become effective from morning hours and will continue till the PM leaves, said SP traffic SC Rawat.PM Modi had attended the birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Ravidas in 2016 also.
