Soil moisture and temperature are also continuously measured by the Hydroprobe (soil moisture tester) handheld (soil moisture manual measuring process) device at these sites established in the district so that the error is not left. Its function was affected by the lockdown. The emphasis is that it should be released to all farmers by next year. Hydroprobe equipment procured by Space Applications Center, ISRO, installed at BHU`s agricultural farm, is also being investigated for its veracity to correct the deficiencies. It is currently being used for Varanasi. After further study, it will be used throughout the country.
