Leisure Hotels Group opens Hideaway Bedzzz in Varanasi

Varanasi:  The  32-year-old Leisure Hotels Group having 29 properties in 18 locations in India has opened the Hideaway Bedzz in the buzzing Luxa area of Varanasi in close proximity to the  Kashi Vishwanath temple and numerous ghats including the Dashashwamedha ghat. The property is ideal for spiritual trippers. 

According to Vibhas Prasad, Director of the Leisure Group, the Hideaway Buzz is the 10th property in a spiritual location.  He claimed that Its guest rooms and premium dormitories are reasonably priced. Its dormitory has been christened as " Youthstel" or youth hostel meant for budget travelers and backpackers.It has two mixed and one female dormitories with comfortable bunk beds. Rooms are air-conditioned, brightly lit, and equipped with LED TVs, writing desks, and private attached washrooms. The dormitories have dedicated charging points and reading lights. Spacious washrooms are attached to each dorm with shower areas, self-laundry facilities and wardrobes. The property`s decor is vibrant and colorful. It offers ambiance and yet it is affordable. 
 
The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to develop the Ayodhya-Allahabad-Varanasi spiritual circuit in a big way. With the temple -mosque controversy reverberating in full throttle Varanasi is in the bigger limelight today. More and more tourists are expected to throng this age-old city. Assorted  developmental works are being executed at breakneck speed as it is also the  VIP constituency of  the Prime Minister

The Hideaway Bedzz , Varanasi offers many recreational options including Live Music, Indoor Games, Library, and Large Screen Entertainment. It has a rooftop dining hall  known as Travel Diaries Cafe

Varanasi, needless to say, is known as the " City of Salvation" and is the hub of spiritualism for domestic as well as foreign tourists.  Foreigners from many lands including   Americans, Australians, Canadians,  British, Germans, French, and Japanese flock in huge numbers every year.  Buddhists mainly from various Asian countries like Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Ceylon also visit the nearby  Saranath only 12 km from Varanasi.  Gautam Buddha is believed to have propagated the Eight-Fold-Path and founded Buddhism in  528 BCE in Sarnath. Varanasi welcomes a diverse mix of tourists of all ages including leisure traveler, spiritual seeker, business traveler and  global backpacker. 

Those who have death premonition or are old and sick arrive in the city in advance to die in peace to attain salvation. They rent rooms in various locations. One such place to stay is the Kashi Laabh Mukti Bhawan or  " Death Hotel. "  


According to projections the 3000-year -old temple town is likely to register a quantum jump in the number of tourists likely to visit every year. While at present  60 lakh pilgrims visit Varanasi annually in the near future the figure is likely to spurt to two crore per annum.  On certain days one has to wait in queue for four hours to have a brief glimpse of Lord Vishwanath.

Varanasi is famous for its production of silks and brocades with gold and silver threadwork, muslin,  Benarsi silk sarees,  items with gulabi minakari work, ivory products, brassware, glassware wooden toys and crystal Shivlingas beaming positive rays. A renowned carpet-weaving centre is at Bhadoi not far from Varanasi.  The city is host to numerous religious festivals including Mahashivratri, Ganga Dusshera and  Dev Deepawali when thousands of garlands of light add colour and glitter to the ancient city.
