PM’s visit: Dist Admin intensifies preparations

Varanasi: The district administration and police have intensified efforts to finalise all the arrangements and security plans for the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23.Commissioner of police Ashok Mutha Jain and district magistrate S Rajalingam convened a meeting of the officials of all the departments concerned on Tuesday morning and issued directives to finalise the works assigned within scheduled time. They also discussed security, traffic diversion and transportation plan for September 23 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the city to lay the foundation of international cricket stadium and later visit Rudraksh International Convention Centre to dedicate Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas (residential schools) to the nation and for distribution of prizes among the winners of Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsava.
