Principal, vice-principal booked for beating boy for absence from school

Varanasi: The principal and vice-principal of a private school were arrested on Saturday for allegedly beating up a student in Kandharapur area of Azamgarh district.The students father lodged an FIR against the principal and the teacher at Kandhrapur police staion on September 29. A case has been lodged againt the two under sections 323 and 506 pf IPC and SC/ST Act.In his complaint, the students father alleged that the principal and the teacher abused his son and even beat him up when he joined back school after recovering from an illness on September 27.According to report, Abhishek (15), son of Akhilesh of Karnahua village, is a student of class 10 at Shri Durgaji Inter College in Sehda locality. He had developed some problem in his eyes due to which he was not able to attend the school for around 20 days.After recovering from the illness when Abhishek went back to school, principal Krishna Kumar Yadav and vice-principal Ajit Yadav asked him the reason for his absence from school.Not satisfied with the reason given by Abhishek, they took him to a room and allegedly beat him up severely, using abusive words. He was made to stand in the sun due to which he fainted. Investigating officer Gyan Prakash Tiwari said that Ajit Kumar Yadav and Krishna Kumar Yadav have been arrested.
