Varanasi: The penultimate night of Sankat Mochan music festival left the audience mesmerised till the dawn on Thursday.The fest commenced with kathak dance performance by energetic and youthful Kolkata-based danseuse Anurekha Ghosh, who performed with beautiful expressions. Her display of various 'ghoongat' forms was applauded by the audience, which went on till she presented dance on Tulsidas' bhajan 'Thumak chalat Ramchandra'. He presented alaap in raag kaushiki and was accompanied by Shubh Maharaj and Rishi Shankar on tabla and pakhawaj.Vocalist Ajay Chakravorty came next. She started with Ganesh Vandana on raag yaman, followed by performance on 'Gaayiye Ganpati Jagvandan, winning praises from one and all.
