VARANASI: Parents will soon be able to keep a watch over their children's browsing activities, thanks to a mobile application 'Narad' developed by Banaras Hindu University neurologist.Vijay Nath Mishra, who had recently developed the app 'Har Har Mahadev' to block porn and vulgar sites, has come up with another application which will caution parents about the browsing history of unwanted websites by their wards."Parents can track the browsing activities of their children by downloading the application in their devices," Mishra said, adding that there will be an option for parents to include five numbers in their wards' mobile phones to see if they are surfing objectionable sites. "Today, it is a major concern of parents to protect their children from vulgarity that is easily accessible on the internet. This application is being developed to help them. It will be out in next 15 days," he said.The will let parents know if their children have fallen prey to the online Blue Whale challenge. In such a situation, the parents can take timely corrective measures, he said.Earlier, Mishra's team developed 'Har Har Mahadev' to block pornography, violence and vulgar messages on the internet. After getting registered and downloading the software, one will listen devotional songs if one attempts to open an unwanted site. "Now, Narad will play it role in more effective way as it will be in command of parents only," said Mishra.He said that the Centre has expressed helplessness to curb the Blue Whale challenge saying that it was technically not possible to evolve a mechanism to block it. "But, we say that Blue Whale challenge or some other bigger challenges can be blocked successfully if government provides us support," he said.
