KADAPA: In a shocking incident a B.Tech student was stabbed to death by his junior at Rajampet in Kadapa district on Monday late in the night. The deceased was identified as P Somu Sai (20) studying second year B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering ( ECE ) in Boyanapalle Annamacharya Engineering College.Somu Sai was allegedly killed by S Vamshi Krishna (18) a first year Civil Engineering student and his friend S Sai Kumar (19) studying second year Civil Engineering in the same college.Somu Sai and Vamshi Krishna clashed with each other about a week ago during the college fest. Somu Sai reportedly thrashed Vamshi Krishna after the latter refused to apologise to him. According to the inspector of Rajampet, M Yugandar, the issue started with Vamshi Krishna hiting Somu Sai with his hand while dancing in the college fest.Angered Somu Sai entered into an argument and even thrashed him before everyone after Vamshi Krishna refused to say sorry. The incident divided the students into two groups and both the groups have clashed with each other in the past seven days.On Monday night, Vamshi Krishna and his friend Sai Kumar went to Somu Sai’s home and asked him to come along with them on the pretext of talking to him to settle the issue. They went near railway station and stabbed Somu Sai with a knife multiple times and fled away from the scene.The locals observed him in a pool of blood and informed police. He was rushed to Rajampet government hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead. Police registered a case under section 302 of IPC (murder) against Vamshi Krishna and Sai Kumar. Cops were yet to arrest the accused.
