43% teacher aspirants clear TET

In the previous TET examination conducted in 2013, only 35% candidates got through the test, Mr. Rao said. Over 43% of the candidates who have appeared in Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 conducted by the School Education department have qualified, announced HRD Minister G. Srinivasa Rao releasing the results here on Monday. While in paper I over 57% candidates have qualified, over 37% and over 42% candidates have qualified in paper II (Mathematics, Science and Social Studies) and paper III. Across the State as many as 4.14 lakh candidates took the test held in seven mediums and only 1.94 lakh of them have qualified. Also, the results of two candidates who have taken the test in two different centres using different hall tickets are withheld for further examination.

Across the State as many as 4.14 lakh candidates took the test held in seven mediums and only 1.94 lakh of them have qualified. Mr. Rao said that the examination was organised carefully and as many as 16 marks have been added to required candidates after objections raised by 2,604 of them were considered by the department. In all the three papers, pass percentage of candidates who gave the examination in Telugu medium was highest. While in paper I over 57% candidates have qualified, over 37% and over 42% candidates have qualified in paper II (Mathematics, Science and Social Studies) and paper III. Overall on an average 25% candidates secured 90 and above marks in all sets of papers. Withheld The Minister said that the results of 84 candidates who complained that five questions were not visible on their computer monitors are withheld as the matter is being inquired. Also, the results of two candidates who have taken the test in two different centres using different hall tickets are withheld for further examination. Commissioner, School Education K.
