VIJAYAWADA: To garner support for the proposed no-confidence motion against the NDA government in the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament, the TDP has begun reaching out to 18 non-BJP and Congress MPs across the country including those from the TRS and MIM.The party plans to push for the implementation of AP Reorganization Act and grant of the Special Category Status (SCS) in this session, a long-pending demand.TDP MPs will hand over a two-page letter written by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to MPs of the parties seeking their support for the no-trust motion. On Sunday, party MPs under the leadership of Sujana Chowdary met TRS MPs K Keshava Rao and Jithender Reddy who were non-committal on supporting the no-confidence motion, but eventually extended support to press for implementation of AP Reorganisation Act 2014.TDP MPs were divided into five groups to meet party chiefs or parliamentary leaders. The parties to be approached include Trinamool Congress, SAD, CPI, CPM, NCP, DMK, AIDMK, JDS, JDU, LPP, TRS, MIM and Kerala Congress.While the proposed meeting of TDP MPs under the leadership of Thota Narasimham with NCP, Shiv Sena was cancelled on Sunday, other MPs Sujana Chowdary, Konakalla Narayana, Sriram Malyadri met K Keshava Rao and handed over the letter written by Naidu. According to sources, the MPs also tried meeting Telangana chief minister Chandrashekar Rao, but on the suggestion of officials met Keshava Rao and Jithender Reddy instead."They said they will cooperate with the demand to press for implementation of AP Reorganization Act 2014. We asked them to support the agitation we are going to take up in Parliament," Chowdary said.
