Andhra Pradesh: BJP demands white paper on 1500 days of TDP rule

VIJAYAWADA: The BJP Andhra Pradesh unit here on Tuesday asked the state government to release white paper on his achievements during the last 1500 days in office.Speaking to media persons, BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana pooh-poohed the claims of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu about his government’s achievements during the last 1500 days in office. He said that the chief minister had agreed for the special package and had felicitated M Venkaiah Naidu for getting the package. While the total loan at the time of elections was at Rs 74,000 crore, the chief minister had waived a small amount in different phases, he said. He also accused the chief minister of spending Rs 150 crore on building repairs in Hyderabad and had finally left them to Telangana.He blamed the chief minister for not fulfilling the total loan waiver promise made to the farmers. He termed the TDP MP’s threat of giving no confidence notices as another round of drama to be enacted by the MPs during the Parliament session.

He said that the government was completely involved in corruption in every sector, including the capital city, Amaravati.He said that Chandrababu Naidu had run away from Hyderabad in the midnight after he was caught in the infamous note for vote case and had thus done injustice to the state by giving up the state’s assets in Hyderabad. He also accused the chief minister of spending Rs 150 crore on building repairs in Hyderabad and had finally left them to Telangana.He blamed the chief minister for not fulfilling the total loan waiver promise made to the farmers. While the total loan at the time of elections was at Rs 74,000 crore, the chief minister had waived a small amount in different phases, he said. He also accused the chief minister of betraying the self-help group women by not waiving their loans as promised in the elections.The BJP chief criticised Chandrababu Naidu for changing his stand on the special category status and special package during the last four years. He said that the chief minister had agreed for the special package and had felicitated M Venkaiah Naidu for getting the package. However, Chandrababu Naidu had gone back on this again blaming the BJP leadership.Lakshminarayana said that the central government was implementing various developmental works in the state at a cost of Rs 16,000 crore. In housing alone, the central government had given 7.40 lakh houses to the state, he said and alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was enjoying the benefits on one side and blaming the BJP on the other.Meanwhile, in Delhi, BJP MP G V L Narasimha Rao termed the TDP as Total Drama Party. He told media persons that he has evidences to prove the corruption of the TDP government and would produce it at an appropriate time. He termed the TDP MP’s threat of giving no confidence notices as another round of drama to be enacted by the MPs during the Parliament session.
