Mayor Koneru Sreedhar has urged people who could afford to have food at home not to exploit the Anna Canteens meant for the poor. Those who can afford food on their own should not exploit the canteens and do their bit by informing the destitute about the availability of such canteens and help them, he said. Mr. Sreedhar inspected the construction works of Anna Canteen coming up on the premises of Chennupati Ramakotaiah Indoor Stadium on High School road in Patamata. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sreedhar said that the sole purpose of Anna Canteens was to satiate the hunger of the poor people thrice a day who could not afford to have it on their own.
