He said that police personnel were always on the forefront of resolving the grievances of the people even by setting their own family needs aside. He said that they created little space on main road to set up the fuel station while removing the old police quarters.Amita Thakur distributed clothes to the children staying in police hostel. He suggested all the government offices in the city could depend on the fuel station for their needs as they would be helping the police personnel by making a visit.SP Vijaya Rao thanked the officials of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for granting the fuel station. He said that the privilege of police uniform is making them work round the clock without bothering about their health and family.“Urban SP Vijaya Rao deserves appreciation for coming up with the initiative of setting up the fuel station as it not only helps people get quality fuels but also help police department as a whole,” he patted.He said that fuels to be delivered in the station would be highly qualitative and standardised.

GUNTUR: Stating that welfare of the personnel working in the department was equally important, director general of police (DGP), Guntur , RP Thakur has asked the senior officials to frequently interact with the families of the personnel to resolve their grievances.DGP appreciated the urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao for setting up a dedicated fuel station in Guntur as the profits gained from the operations will be utilised for the welfare of the police families.Thakur, along with his wife and chairperson of IPS Officers' Welfare Association (IPSOWA) Amita Thakur inaugurated the newly constructed fuel station near Stall Girls' High School in the city on Monday.South coastal region Inspector General KVV Gopala Rao and SP Vijaya Rao were also present.Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that they would seek more support and cooperation from the men in managing the land and order in the state by taking care of their pains.
