Tirumala: Lord goes on ride thrice on sixth day of Brahmotsavams

TIRUMALA: It was triple bonanza for devotees on the sixth day of Brahmotsavam festivities at Tirumala on Tuesday.The Lord, who is normally taken out twice a day during the nine-day annual festival, was taken out thrice in different processions.Lord Malayappa Swamy, donning the role of Lord Rama exquisitely holding the golden bow and arrow and seated atop the Hanumantha Vahana, took a pleasure ride through the thoroughfares, blessing the devout on Tuesday morning. Immense importance is given to the Hanumantha Vahana by the devotees as Hanuman is considered an exponent of all Vedas, besides being an embodiment of bravery, success, strength and wisdom.Darshan of both Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman as part of the procession is considered an opportunity to imbibe the grace of the Almighty with high intellectual connotations which can even inspire the scholars and pundits for an extensive exploration of Vedic scriptures and promote a righteous lifestyle.In the evening, Lord Malayappa Swamy, flanked by his consorts, was mounted atop the newly-built Swarna Radham (golden chariot) and was taken out in a procession along the four mada streets around the main temple.The golden chariot signifies that the riches of the Lord of Seven Hills are not only legendary but a reality.
