Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said he wanted to become an IAS officer when he was in college, but was later attracted to politics which led him to work hard in his constituency and get elected as an MLA, eventually going on to become a minister.Naidu was taking questions from a large gathering of youths at a Praja Vedika near his residence on Tuesday shortly after inaugurating the Yuva Nestham scheme. “One can achieve anything in life through consistent hard work. Every unemployed youth will get the benefits of the scheme as it is transparent,” the CM said.“People of the state have cast their vote not on grounds of caste or religion but with the belief that the TDP can develop the state after bifurcation. The BJP had cheated the state and did not deliver on any of its promises,” Naidu said at the meet.The chief minister said the Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestham programme was launched to empower youth, who play a key role in the country’s development. “The average age in the country will be 29 years by 2029. The sky is the limit for advancement of the youth and they should use the Yuva Netham platform for innovation, incubation and start-up companies by improving their skills,” he said, adding that youngsters should keep upgrading their knowledge continuously to meet evolving global demands.
