GUNTUR: Upping the ante, BJP state leadership has decided to write to the Centre seeking CBI investigation into the agrigold financiers fraud case. BJP alleged that the auction of the agrigold firm, which duped over 35 lakh people, were put on hold only due to the direct pressure from the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that CBI investigation is the only way to protect the interests of the depositors. “Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh were directly involved in the scandal as they were not allowing the auction of the properties of the defunct financial services to grab the prime assets,” he alleged. He said that auction was not taking place in spite of repeated strictures passed by the high court only due to the involvement of the people in high offices. He said that assets listed out by the finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu were not shown in the list of assets put up for auction. He wondered as to how the prime properties were removed from the list submitted to the court. He explained that BJP would swing into agitation mode to protect the interests of the 35 lakh agrigold depositors in the state. He said that party national general secretary Ram Madhav would start week-long agitation programme in Vijayawada on October, 22. He said that party affairs in-charge Sunil Deodhar would also attend the programme.Taking strong objection at TDP MP CM Ramesh using foul language against their MP GVL Narasimha Rao, Kanna asked the TDP leaders to rein in from using foul language against the BJP leaders. “We are not going to remain silent if they use such language. We will show the strength of the BJP,” he warned. He said that TDP is packed with scamsters and pick-pocketers. He said that the leaders who were involved in call-money sex scandals have no right to criticize BJP leaders. BJP state general secretary Suresh Reddy, T Venkatesh Yadav were also present.
