VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has entered into an MoU with Dassault Systemes, a French software firm that develops 3D designs, 3D digital mock-up and product lifecycle management software, on Saturday, said the officials.As per the MoU, the APSSDC and Dassault Systemes will work together to enhance the employability skills of students of the state in research and development and technology.The MoU guarantees training for 1,00,000 engineering and polytechnic students within a period of three years starting from 2018-19, financial year. Certification of the candidates is done at the end of the classes.Engineering activities like research projects, demonstration, projects for on-the- job learning, 85 industry certification courses would also be offered to the students in the domains of Aerospace, Automotive and Ship-Building, said APSSDC.The benefits of the programme include exposure to best-in-class software, hardware and industry practices.

Dassault Systemes will organize 2 job fairs per year.As part of implementation of the training and research classes, a Mother Hub, 3D Experience Centre would be inaugurated at Acharya Nagarjuna University on Monday, said the officials.While, the total cost of the project is Rs 309 crore, Dassault Systemes will bear Rs 273 crore of the cost and will offer the service at a subsidized rate of only Rs 36 crore, to be borne by the APSSDC.According to the officials, the state government will have access to Dassault Systemes platform, best practices and training materials on the Automotive, Marine, Aerospace and Defense sectors for the Experience Centres.Apart from training the unemployed youth for making them employment ready, training in academia for skill enabling of engineering students in the colleges and universities, training the trainers in academia will also be done.
