VIJAYAWADA: Two Sabarimala devotees from Vijayawada died in a road accident near Salem in Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening. "The car was running at a high speed and the driver lost control when he tried to overtake another vehicle," police said. Locals rushed to the rescue and shifted the pilgrims to a local government hospital where the two were declared brought dead. According to police , the incident happened at around 7 pm when they were returning to Vijayawada in a car.The driver lost control over the speeding vehicle on the national highway and rammed into a tree. The deceased were identified as Pothuraju and Anjaneya.
