Hill festival will be historical: Andhra speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao

NARASARAOPET (GUNTUR): The hill festival will make Kotappakonda a tourist hub, Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said on Saturday ahead of the mega event that deputy chief minister K E Krishna Murthy will formally in the evening.Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Rao said that roads and buildings minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu and former Union minister Y Sujana Chowdary would also be attending the festival as guests. He said that protection of the greenery is a must, adding, erosion of greenery is causing serious environmental hazards.Dr Kodela observed that they have mixed a lot of entertainment events in the hill festival to attract tourists to the Kotappakonda. He said that they were bringing such urban entertainments to help the people from rural areas experience the thrill. “Once they reach the place, they will all watch how the greenery has been developed on the hill slopes and gardens were developed with little or literally no water facility.

We want people to emulate the model and start planting in their neighbourhood,” said Dr Kodela.Chief designer of the events and TDP youth leader Dr Kodela Sivaram said that helicopter riding, paracycling and hot air-balloons would be cynosure of all eyes at the festival. He said that they were bringing such urban entertainments to help the people from rural areas experience the thrill. He said that people, who have been enjoying by riding giant wheels during the Mahasivarathri, would surely love to soar high in the skies in hot air-balloon and paragliders.
