Wait is over DSC merit list released on website

Vijayawada: The much awaited AP DSC 2018 merit list has been released by HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district on Friday. The results were published on the official website of the school education department. Of the 136 objections, 48 questions were approved as change of answers, 41 were approved as add scores, while 47 questions had double answers.Of the total 52 category, results were declared for 46 said the officials. The qualified PGT candidates for civics and economics are 5.7% and 4.8% respectively, the least performing group among all the categories.The exam was conducted for 7,902 teachers’ posts in various state government schools and more than six lakh applications were received by the department.

Candidates can access the district-wise and post-wise merit list after entering the verification code displayed on the website.The HRD minister who released the results said that the joining orders will be sent to the selected candidates on May 15 and a 10-day training programme will be conducted for the candidates before recruitment.The officials also released the English proficiency test results of the candidates for principal, postgraduate teacher (SGT) and trained graduate teacher (SGT) posts.Candidates who qualified under the principal category are as low as 23.38%. The qualified PGT candidates for civics and economics are 5.7% and 4.8% respectively, the least performing group among all the categories.The exam was conducted for 7,902 teachers’ posts in various state government schools and more than six lakh applications were received by the department. The exam was conducted online at 124 examination centres across the state, which saw 85.81% attendance, said the officials.About 8,844 objections were received on the initial key and the subject expert committee found that only 136 objections have been accepted on the substantial evidence and re-verification.The rest 8,708 objections were found to be baseless. Of the 136 objections, 48 questions were approved as change of answers, 41 were approved as add scores, while 47 questions had double answers.Of the total 52 category, results were declared for 46 said the officials.
