Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Thursday announced the party’s election manifesto with many measures to improve the lives of farmers, farm labourers, women, youth and students.Kalyan announced the party manifesto during the party’s Formation Day held at Rajamundry on Thursday.One of the highlights of the manifesto is a plan to give financial and marketing support to farmers, with creation of opportunity zones to provide marketing avenues and bring agriculture under MNREGS.He has also promised free and high-quality seeds, machinery support, profitable price system against minimum support price (MSP), Rs 5,000 pension per month to farmers above 60 years, a fruit and grain conglomerate in Godavari at Rs 5,000 crore, warehouses, free solar pump-sets and a drought-free Rayalaseema.He also promised gold loans at 6% interest to farmers and bring the interest rate to 3% if the first loan is cleared in one year.
