Vijayawada: In a surprising twist, both YSR Congress and Jana Sena announces tickets to unexpected candidates from Vijayawada East constituency. Corporator Boppana Bhava Kumar will be fielded by YSRC while Jana Sena has decided to field former Praja Rajyam leader Bathina Rammohana Rao (Bathina Ramu).Despite huge competition from former legislator Yalamanchili Ravi , YSRC high command gave a chance to Boppana Bhava Kumar who is limited to Patamata and Kristurajapuram areas. According to sources, Yalamanchili Ravi’s attachment with Vangaveeti Radha Krishna is believed to be the main reason for the denial of ticket to him.On the other hand, Jana Sena gave the ticket to Bathina Ramu who joined the party on Sunday night. He had earlier aspired for a ticket from Vijayawada East in 2009 with Praja Rajyam but contested from Gannavaram.While both TDP and YSRC gave Vijayawada east seat to candidates from Khamma community, Jana Sena preferred Bathina Ramu who is from Kapu community.As Vijayawada East has about 45,000 voters from Kapu community, Jana Sena is hoping that this votes along with votes of Pawan Kalyan’s fans will help them win. Meanwhile, Ammisetty Vasu who aspired the Jana Sena seat from Vijayawada east met Pawan and assured that he will work for the victory of Bathina Ramu. “I am very happy that Pawan Kalyan trusted me and gave seat from a prestigious constituency. I will work together with Ammisetty Vasu and other leaders who have worked hard to strengthen the party from ground level,” Bathina Ramu said.
