VIJAYAWADA: Taking his criticism of his bete noire, YSR Congress (YSRC) president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, to another level, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said Jagan’s “corruption and criminal character” is a case fit for study on criminal politics at the Harvard and a model case study for new joinees at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America.Naidu chose to describe Jagan as a threat to society more than Dawood Ibrahim, Nirav Modi, Harshad Mehta and Charles Sobhraj. “Dawood Ibrahim has only one criminal character — terrorism. Nirav Modi has expertise only in cheating banks. Harshad Mehta excelled in financial crimes alone. Charles Sobhraj is a violent fraudster. Jagan is a hardcore criminal with all these criminal characters rolled into one,” he alleged.Referring to the poll affidavit filed by Jagan to the returning officer of Pulivendula assembly constituency in Kadapa district on Friday, Naidu wondered if there is any political leader in the country with 31 criminal cases pending against him.“The affidavit filed by Jagan is a testimony to his criminal deeds. He was a spoiled brat and grew up with a criminal mind. He has listed 31 cases as pending against him in his 48-page poll affidavit. Jagan’s case is fit for study by FBI to train its officers on prevention of crime. He maintains a smiling face but behind it are hidden his criminal conspiracies, murder politics, and intimidation of and threat to opponents. There is no criminal facet that’s not present in Jagan,” Naidu told TDP leaders and workers through a teleconference.Naidu, who has of late been launching personal attacks on his political opponents, accused Jagan of mortgaging the interests of Andhra Pradesh with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to save himself from criminal cases. “He has become a slave to TRS president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jagan does not criticise the BJP, which is attacking Muslims and Dalits,” Naidu said, wondering if Andhra Pradesh would require “such a person” to lead the government.
