‘Nandyal will be carved of Kurnool’

Tirupati: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has declared that Nandyal district will be carved out of Kurnool district immediately after the 2019 polls.Addressing rallies at Allagadda, Nandyal and Kurnool in the district on Tuesday, Naidu’s announcement about the formation of Nandyal district was received with thunderous applause from the public.“The people of Nandyal and nearby mandals have been demanding for a separate district for quite some time now. The Nandyal Lok Sabha ticket could not be allotted to Reddy because of poll-related calculations and surveys. However, if he reconsiders his decision the TDP is ready to make him an MLC”, promised Naidu I promise that Nandyal district will be created after the polls.“But for that to happen, you should promise me that the Telugu Desam Party will get the highest majority here than at Kuppam and the voting here should be one-sided”, Naidu told the people.Promising to transform Nandyal town into a smart city, Naidu also announced that an outer ring road will be built here soon. “I have a number of development plans in the pipeline to boost the infrastructure in and around Nandyal that will be executed in a phased manner once the TDP retains power,” assured Naidu.Meanwhile, appealing to former Nandyal MP SPY Reddy, who revolted against the party and switched over to the Jana Sena and is contesting from the Nandyal parliamentary seat on a Jana Sena ticket, the TDP supremo asked Reddy to reconsider his decision.“Your family is important to us and I promise to protect the political interests of your family.
