CPI(M) cadres led by city secretary B. Ganga Rao taking out a 'Maha padayatra' opposing any move to privatise VIMS in Visakhapatnam on Friday. City secretary B. Ganga Rao, who led the cadres demanded that the GO 33 on privatisation be withdrawn. The hospital was providing medical care to the poor and the middle class and the GO was issued by the Telugu Desam Party-BJP Government to privatise VIMS. But the outpatient ward in the super speciality VIMS was opened in February 2016 only after 48-hour fast by CPI(M).
