4 Thai girls held in police raid

The spa organiser Avinash Joshi had employed the four girls in the spa centre located at Seethammadhara area in violation of the norms. The foreign nationals had arrived in the city on tourist visa and were employed in the spa centre and they were offered daily wages. Police Commissioner T. Yoganand warned of serious action against those coming to the city on Tourist Visa and indulging in such activities in future. “We are investigating the case from various angles as there were allegations that the organiser had pushed some girls into the flesh trade at the spa centre. Ravi Kumar said the organiser of the spa was served a notice to clarify why he had employed women, who came on a tourist visa.

more-in The Special Branch police in coordination with the MVP Colony Police on Saturday raided ‘Nirvana Thai Spa Massage Centre’ in the city and registered cases against the organiser of the spa and against four Thailand nationals (women). The foreign nationals had arrived in the city on tourist visa and were employed in the spa centre and they were offered daily wages. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the four girls had arrived here in January this year. The spa organiser Avinash Joshi had employed the four girls in the spa centre located at Seethammadhara area in violation of the norms. It was also found that the cross-gender massage (female to male massage) was a regular practice at the spa to woo customers. Additional DCP (Special Branch) P.V. Ravi Kumar said the organiser of the spa was served a notice to clarify why he had employed women, who came on a tourist visa. “We are investigating the case from various angles as there were allegations that the organiser had pushed some girls into the flesh trade at the spa centre. We have registered a case against the four Thailand girls under various sections of Foreigners Act, 1946 and will detain them and later deport them,” he added. Police Commissioner T. Yoganand warned of serious action against those coming to the city on Tourist Visa and indulging in such activities in future.
