All set for TDP Dharma Porata Deeksha

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and a host of TDP leaders will address the meeting in the evening at the Andhra University Engineering College Grounds. Arrangements are being made at the grounds with the ruling party planning to mobilise 1.25 lakh people from all over the district to the meeting. Yellow flags are aflutter all over the ground and the dais is being decked up in yellow. Twelve galleries are being set up to accommodate the people, Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinarajappa said at the venue on Monday evening. Besides Mr. Naidu, party State president K. Kala Venkata Rao, Ministers Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and K. Atchennaidu, Sujana Chowdary and P. Ashok Gajapati Raju, who quit the Union Cabinet over SCS, and IT and Panchayaat Raj Minister Lokesh are among the 13 to address the meeting, All the Cabinet Ministers, party Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members will attend the public meeting. The meeting begins with cultural programmes at 2 p.m. and MLAs will start addressing the gathering at 4 p.m. Over 500 policemen are deployed at the venue for security. Mr. Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Labour Minister Pithani Satyanaryana, MLC and party general secretary T.D. Janardhan, MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, party urban and Rural presidents and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar and Panchakarla Rameshbabu visited the venue on Monday evening and reviewed the arrangements being made for the deeksha. At a separate press conference, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said the meeting was organised by the party and it would foot the expenses. Such meetings will be held in all the remaining districts in the State, the Minister said. RTC buses APSRTC is running 500 buses from various places to the venue of the meeting, according to officials. On Tuesday, ordinary fare will be collected even in Metro services, they said.
